Nala was the very first rescued animal, and the namesake of Nala’s Friends. She was found by the owners of Nala’s Friends at three months old, abandoned in Durmitor National Park in Montenegro. Luckily she was in excellent health, with maybe even a bit too much food given by the tourists. She was brought to Happy Paws in Podgorica where she stayed for the next five months, waiting for her medical tests to be finished, and she could make her way to Belgium. She now lives out her life lounging on the couch, travelling the world, and being loved by everyone who meets her. She was our very first success story, and is the reason that she won’t be our last.
